Roger Porter, President & CEO

Mr. Porter, 44, grew up in Memphis, TN and has been in the aviation industry his entire life. He has a Bachelor of Administration degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Memphis State University. He holds his A&P licenses and a pilot’s license.

During his high school years, he worked with his father running the family FBO and after graduating in 1982, he joined Federal Express Corporation. He initially started his career sorting packages in the HUB operations and then transferred to Aircraft Maintenance as a mechanic. Over the next 19 years he held various positions in line and base maintenance and worked his way up to Senior Manager of Memphis Maintenance Control and Line Maintenance Hangar Operations.

In 2001, he left Federal Express and joined Linden Street Capital Corporation (LSC), a vendor to Federal Express and EADS Aeroframe Services, to become their President and CEO. Within 4 years, he grew the company holdings from a single 145 Repair Station to include an aircraft PMA parts manufacturing division and two new 145 repair Stations, one of which was foreign.

In mid 2005, EADS decided to exit the aircraft maintenance business and close Aeroframe Services in Lake Charles. Mr. Porter, upon hearing of this decision, successfully negotiated the acquisition of EADS Aeroframe Services, LLC. which was renamed Aeroframe Services. Subsequently, Mr. Porter relinquished his position from Linden Street Capital and took over as President and CEO of Aeroframe Services. He remains a minority owner and board member of Linden Street Capital.

Led by Mr. Porter, Aeroframe Services overhauled its marketing plan and pricing models and installed a piece rate system which produced revolutionary productivity gains. As a result, the company’s sales and employment have grown dramatically and in 2007, the operation became profitable for the first time in its history.

Roger is married to Laurie Porter and he has two sons, Allen, age 18 and Michael, age 8. Laurie also holds A&P licenses and is a certified Dive master. Roger and his wife are active in the local community, serving on several community boards. Roger is a licensed pilot and enjoys flying, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Mike Long, Vice President & CFO

Mr. Long, 43, is a native of Louisiana and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in 1987 and has spent virtually his entire career in the aviation industry. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of Texas and Louisiana.

Upon graduation, Mr. Long began his career with The Boeing Company in Lake Charles, LA, where he spent 5 years and progressed from cost accountant to Accounting Supervisor. He then joined Mark IV Industries, a Boeing vendor, in Plano, TX for 7 years where he progressed from Accounting Supervisor to Controller and was responsible for the business operations for multiple units.

In 2000, Mr. Long joined JPMorgan Chase in Dallas, TX as Vice President of Quality and was responsible for site level quality control of the pension fund accounting operations for pension funds with over $1 trillion in plan assets. In 2002, he joined Decrane Aircraft as VP of Finance and Administration at their corporate jet cabinetry facility in Denton, TX.

In 2003, Mr. Long joined EADS Aeroframe Services as VP of Finance and in 2005 was promoted to Chief Financial Officer upon the acquisition of Aeroframe Services by Mr. Roger Porter.

Mr. Long has substantial experience in corporate restructurings, corporate turnarounds, transition management and business plan development.

Mike is married to Marcie Long and he has three children, Erica, age 11; Zoe, age 7; Ethan, age 3. Mike enjoys tennis, travelling and spending time with his family.

Martin Redmond, General Manager

Mr. Redmond, 45, is a native of Louisiana and graduated from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has spent his entire career in the aviation industry.

In 1987, he began his career with The Boeing Company in Lake Charles, LA as a liaison engineer on the KC-135 PDM program. In 1989, he joined General Dynamics in San Diego, CA as a liaison engineer and subsequently Engineering Manager on the MD-11 program.

In 1993, he returned to Lake Charles, LA and joined Northrup Grumman as the Engineering Manager on the J-Stars program and remained there until 2001.

In 2001, Mr. Redmond joined EADS Aeroframe Services as a Program Manager and was responsible for overall program management of the aircraft checks. Between 2001 and 2007, Martin was promoted from Program Manager to Manager Operation Support, to Director of Operational Support and now General Manager for Aeroframe Services. As General Manager, Martin is responsible for all the day to day operations for the business unit.

Martin is married to Cheryl Redmond and they have three children: Courtney, age 16; Caleb, age 15; and Aaron, age 12. He enjoys camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Steve Homan, Director of Maintenance

Steve Homan, 45, was born in California and raised in several locations with his military family. Currently, he is a candidate for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He also holds FAA Airframe & Powerplant licenses.

After being honorably discharged from the USN in 1984, Steve dually served in the USNR, as an aircrewman for the past 17 years, and began his civilian career in aviation with Piper Aircraft Corp, Lakeland, FL. Steve is now a retired Naval veteran.

Spending the last 25 years in the aviation industry, He has worked his way up from Final Assembler to Director of Maintenance progressively. With opportunities to work at various companies such as Grumman, St. Augustine, FL, Naval Aviation Depot, Jacksonville, FL, Lockheed Support Systems, Jacksonville, FL, Cypress Aviation, Lakeland, FL, TIMCO Aviation, Lake City, FL, Oscoda, MI, and Macon, GA, EADS Aeroframe Services, Lake Charles, LA, Steve brings to Aeroframe Services an eclectic assembly of experiences gathered from both working with a variety of aviation professionals in addition to extensive travelling.

In 2003, Mr. Homan was recruited to Lake Charles, LA to join EADS Aeroframe Services team as a Project Manager. Between 2003 and 2007, he has served EADS and, now Aeroframe Services, as Night Shift Operations Manager, Production Manager, PMA Development Manager and currently Director of Maintenance. He is currently responsible for all production staff supporting all maintenance activities at the Lake Charles facility.

Steve is married to Stormy Homan. They have three children: Sarah, age 22; Jake, age 18; and Tim, age 16. If he’s not watching NASCAR or football, you can find Steve mowing yards and clearing trees with his church’s Helping Hands program and the Disaster Relief Chainsaw Team.

Brian Turner, Director of Quality

Brian Turner, 63, was born and raised in Ohio and has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration (graduated Summa Cum Laude) and MBA from Christian Brothers University. He also holds A&P licenses.

After being honorably discharged from the U.S.M.C. as a turbine mechanic in 1966, Brian began his career in aviation with LSI as an aircraft mechanic where he worked until he joined Federal Express in 1974.

At Federal Express, Brian worked his way up from an aircraft mechanic to a Senior Manager within the Quality Assurance department during a distinguished 25 year career.

Between 1999, when he departed Federal Express and 2007, when he joined Aeroframe Services, Brian held several leadership positions in Quality within the aviation industry to include: Chief Inspector for Dalfort Aviation in Dallas, TX; Chief Inspector, Director of Airframe Maintenance and then GM of TMG Airepairs in Memphis, TN; as well as Director of Quality for STARCO in Shanghai PR China.

Brian is married to Kay Turner and they have three grown children and five grandsons. He enjoys travel (has been to 49 of 50 states), crossword puzzles and tinkering with “old stuff” to make it work and look good!
